Monster truck driver back behind the wheel after years off
The Casper Events Center was packed with crews from the Toughest Monster Truck tour hauling in the dirt.
Bailey Shea, a monster truck driver, said competing with the best of the best is fun, but has its challenges.
"We are no different than you guys but we're out here having fun putting on a show and it's real competition,” Shea said.
Shea got her start driving ATVs then got a call to drive a monster truck.
"I preceded to go along with it. I did it for about three and a half years and I took off to get married and have a baby and I'm back behind the wheel and what's even cooler is I drive the world's largest ATV," Shea said.
She added balancing life and competing can be a challenge.
I'm a mom I'm on the go twenty-four seven my son is ten months old he travels with me everywhere," Shea said.
However, she has the support she needs.
"Luckily I have my family backing me and my family is with me all the time," Shea said.
She added her goal is to win one of the competitions during the rest of the tour.
The doors to the Casper Events Center open Saturday, Feb. 8 at 6 p.m. and the competition starts at 7 p.m.
