UPDATE: Search enters third night for missing Casper teen
Update: Crews from ten different agencies are still looking for Joey Peterson. Deputies say there are new K-9 teams searching.
The Wyoming National Guard is using a Black Hawk Helicopter and authorities have multiple unmanned aerial vehicles flying as well.
Crews are using forward-looking infrared imaging to help locate heat signatures. More than eighty volunteers have aided in the search.
The Casper Fire Department, Evansville Fire Department, Natrona County Sheriff’s Office have people out searching. Also, Natrona County Search and Rescue, Casper PD and Wyoming Game and Fish.
Joey is a high function autistic 16-year-old. He is 5 feet and 9 inches and weighs one hundred and 20 pounds.
He was last seen wearing pajamas and possibly without shoes. Also, no cell phone. Deputies say they don’t suspect foul play.
UPDATE at 10:20 am Monday:
The search for Joey continues in the area around Goose Creek and Hat Six road. The Natrona County Sheriff's Office said at a press conference Monday morning there are a total of 10 agencies looking for Joey.
NCSO says Joey is high-functioning autistic and doesn't problem solve at an age-appropriate level.
Helicopters, K9 units, and boots on the ground are all being deployed to find Joey, who went missing over the weekend.
NCSO is asking for donations of water for the search parties.
