CASPER, Wyo. The Casper Children's Theatre is hosting an event to raise money, an event that can make participants a millionaire.
"I plan on buying some balls and taking a shot because it's a million dollars and a million dollars is a million dollars," said board member for the Casper Children's Theatre Melissa Martorano.
Local businesses like Surfin' Smiles and Ultra Orthodontics sponsored the event.
"We both try and be involved in our community and especially with kids because that is primarily what we see at our practices and we believe in the arts, we believe in the theatre and anything we can do to encourage that. Plus we both like to golf," said Denise Prugh Pediatric Dentist and Orthodontist.
The fundraising event was held to purchase a local building for their program.
"We really need a space, for these kids, they deserve it, it's time. The Casper Children's Theatre has been around since I think the mid-90s and it's just time for us to have our own home," said Martorano.
Their current space is inside they YMCA where they hold practices, rehearsals and meetings.
"We've outgrown it, which is the positive sign, we've had so many kids getting involved as of late," said Martorano.
"It's the kids that are involved with different things, the arts, the projects, the community themselves, going out and doing things, especially the Casper Children's Theatre, they are always full of smiles and happy, so we want to bring happiness to kids and not only a great smile but want them to be happy," said Everett Maynard Pediatric Dentist.
