Starting July 1, 2020, the Metro Animal shelter will not be taking any animals from Mills or Evansville residents because they have their own separate services.

Tory Walsh, the Metro Animal Shelter Manager, said they are still taking animals from unincorporated Natrona County, Bar Nunn, Midwest and Edgerton.

Walsh added they won’t be able to send offers out to those places, but people can adopt from them no matter where they live if they have an approved application.

“It’s going to be exciting to see what they do and they’ll be able to help their own residents in house. We are excited to work with them,” Walsh said.
