CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - For now, computer stores are still operating. Its main service at this time? Setting up businesses to work from home. But working from home is more than just opening your computer, setting up a secure connection is important.
"You don't just want open-ended people working from home, they need to be protected and they still need to protect that office environment," said Computer Logic Owner Brian White.
"That's extremely important, you gotta have that and your virtual private network is what they usually put together. That connects you to the server, so it's like you're sitting at your desk," said Computer Professionals Unlimited President Russell Wood.
They both say though you are comfortable at home, you should treat your work space like you were at the office.
"There's a lot of things to take into account when you start talking about what kind of access you want to allow somebody to have from home, so you know we have to spend some time to have those conversations and that's what we're here for," said White.
"Watch what you're opening, emails is one of the biggest ones ya know, attachments and stuff. So same securities that you're always gonna have to think about even though you're protected by an anti-malware, anti-virus program, it's only as good as you are," said Wood.
Both stores are continuing to operate at this time but the staff's safety is its priority.
