Local Wyoming woman competes in online fitness competition

Sheila Jacobs spends her time doing what she loves, personal training.
She got serious with personal training in 2011, after she had her son and four months later need emergency back surgery.

“When I was recovered from that, I wasn’t allowed to physically pick him up, I couldn’t physically pick him up he was too heavy," said Jacobs. "I started doing personal training with Jeff Miller and I just kind of fell in love with it so I started going to school for it.”

Her fitness training has encouraged her to compete in the world's largest online fitness competition.

“The whole competition benefits Jared Allen's Homes for Wounded Warriors," said Jacobs.

The winner of the competition gets a cash prize and a two page spread in "Muscle and Fitness Hers" magazine.

"You can vote daily through Facebook and that is free and then you can donate votes and that money goes to build homes for Jared Allen's Homes for Wounded Warriors," said Jacobs.

Sheila is currently placed in the top five in the competition.

"I didn't really think they were going to choose me and then they did," said Jacobs.

A winner will be announced mid August.
