CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - With the presidential election coming up later this year, the League of Women Voters of Wyoming is teaching different voting methods Saturday.

It’s hosting an interactive workshop showing different voting methods. They range from the traditional plurality wins method, to ranked-choice and other methods. Participants will vote on their favorite foods.

The event will celebrate women’s suffrage. Another goal is to get people excited about voting in the 2020 election.

“We invite people to get into the actual mechanics of voting, get enthusiastic about about the upcoming election and, above all, to participate,” said Jim Brown of the League of Women Voters of Wyoming.

The event is free. It starts at 1 p.m. at the Natrona County Library in the Crawford Room.

The organization is hosting a similar event Thursday in Gillette, Wyo. It hosted one in Nov. 2019 in Laramie, Wyo.
