Laramie man charged with aggravated burglary

On September 12, 2019 at 9:26 p.m. a Laramie Police Officer responded to the 1800 block of Ord for the report of a burglary to a residence and a vehicle.

As a result of the investigation, Steven R. Crickon Jr, a 31-year-old Laramie resident, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Burglary (WS 6-3-301(c)) as well as three (3) counts of False Written Statement to Obtain Property or Credit (WS 6-3-612(b)). Bond has not yet been set on the felony matter and Mr. Crickon remains incarcerated at the Albany County Detention Center.

Aggravated burglary is a felony punishable by imprisonment for not less than five (5) years nor more than twenty-five (25) years, a fine of not more than fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00), or both if, in the course of committing the crime of burglary, the person is or becomes armed with or uses a deadly weapon or a simulated deadly weapon.

False written statement to obtain property or credit is a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for not more than one (1) year, a fine of not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) or both.

At this time, these charges are merely accusations and the Defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
