Laramie man charged with aggravated assault and strangulation of a household member

LARAMIE, Wyo. (RELEASE) - On August 12, 2019 at approximately 6:40 p.m. Laramie Police Officers responded to the 2100 Block of North 10th street for the report of a physical domestic disturbance.

As a result of the investigation, David E. Mahon, a 32-year-old Laramie resident, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault and Battery (WS 6-2-502(a)(iv)) and Strangulation of a Household Member (WS 6-2-509). Bond has not yet been set in this matter and Mr. Mahon remains incarcerated at the Albany County Detention Center.

Aggravated assault and battery is a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than ten (10) years.

Strangulation of a household member is a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than ten (10) years.

All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a Court of law.
