Laramie County is releasing its recovery plan.

The plan is a “living document” and can be amended as necessary. The plan was devised by a subcommittee made up of Laramie County Health Officer Dr. Stan Hartman, Laramie County Health Department Executive Director Dr. Kathy Emmons, Laramie County Emergency Management Director Jeanine West, Chairman of the Laramie County Board of Commissioners Gunnar Malm, and Cheyenne City Council President Mark Rinne, DDS.

The plan follows national and state recommendations and contains three phases to loosen economic restrictions and allow businesses and other organizations to return to normal operations over time.

The county will only move to subsequent phases of the plan after “a period of community surveillance demonstrates that it is safe to proceed with the plan.”

Currently, general employer guidelines include exercising extreme caution in the workplace. Employees who can work remotely are expected to do so. If working remotely is not possible, most employees at most businesses are required to wear a face mask while on the job.
