After eight years at the helm of the Laramie County Fair, Jeff Ketcham is "going out on top." Ketcham has been the face of Wyoming's oldest and largest County Fair since 2011. Prior to being selected as the Manager of the Laramie County Fair, Mr. Ketcham, served as a Laramie County Commissioner for twenty-eight years. He was one of three County Commissioners who saw the vision for the former University of Wyoming, Archer Research Station to become the permanent home for the Laramie County Fair, but also as a recreational complex for the benefit of the residents of Laramie County and the Region. He was instrumental in both the planning and construction of the new Event Center at Archer, which will host the annual County Fair, as well as multiple other events in the coming years.

Commissioner Linda Heath said about Mr. Ketcham, "He has been actively involved in Laramie County his entire life. His continuous dedication to our youth and agriculture is greatly appreciated. We are grateful for his vison and that of his fellow Commissioners at the time to purchase the Archer Research Station property to be used in part as the permanent home of the Laramie County Fair. The Commissioners appreciate his service and wish him the best in his retirement. "

Jeff Ketcham is a past Laramie County Commissioner, Ag and Science teacher at East High, FFA advisor and retired from the Wyoming National Guard. He also raises Longhorn cattle, which during the summer months, many enjoy seeing along Storey Blvd in North Cheyenne.

"Jeff Ketcham has been a leader in the Laramie county community for a very long time. "said Dan Ange, Laramie County Events and Recreation Director. "His extensive hard work and influence on the community is very obvious, especially when it relates to the new Event Center at Archer and to the Laramie County Fair.'

Jeff Ketcham's last day as Fair Manager will be March 3 1 st.
