CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) The Laramie County Conservation District (LCCD) partnered with Rotary Club of Cheyenne and Frog Creek Partners, to improve water quality in Cheyenne's storm catchment basins.

"This is going to be a great deal for Cheyenne," LCCD Water specialist Jeff Geyer said.

Crews installed 12 "Gutter Bins" to keep the storm catchment water clean, which flows into Crow Creek.

"I thought it was an attractive, functional piece of art that we can help put in the gutter to help clean up the streams," Presidend/founder of Frog Creek Partners, Brian Deurloo said.

The bins were installed in the downtown Depot area and near MLK park.

"We wanted to pick locations in Cheyenne where there's a lot of foot traffic," member of Rotary Club of Cheyenne, Don Day said.

These bins use catchment basin filtration systems to remove everything from sediments and organics.
