A crowd of students and teachers gathered to watch films students created all by themselves. There was also a panel of judges there who work in the film industry to provide feedback.

They also had to make a presentation about how they made it and answered questions from the audience. A teacher said some students made documentaries and traditional films.

Camden Fugatt, a Kelly Walsh junior, said his favorite part was interviewing his great grandmother.

Alex Brust, Kelly Walsh senior, said she enjoyed making the documentary with her boss.

They said some challenges were changing topics and the process of creating the whole film alone. Brust added she loved being able to tell a story.

"I'm really proud of what I came up with and I hope that it really inspires people to rethink their misconceptions about people," Brust said.
