CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) Bidding started Wednesday at Platte Valley Bank branches in Casper for unique Christmas trees benefiting Joshua’s Storehouse and Distribution Center.

Joshua’s staff and volunteers decorated the trees. Each tree has a theme.

People interested in bidding can do so at both Platte Valley Bank Casper branches.

"There are different trees at each location. If they see a tree that they would like to bid on there is a bid sheet and it works basically like a silent auction for the trees,” Platte Valley Bank Vice President Kyle Rice said.

Proceeds go to Joshua’s, which feeds the hungry.

"We feed, what I call, the working poor more than homeless, actually, although we do have quite a few homeless clients right now. But we feed a lot of people who do have incomes but they're just not making it all the way through the month."

Trees will also be auctioned at Joshua’s craft fair Nov. 29 at Atrium Plaza in Casper.

Perez said Joshua’s staff will deliver trees the following week to the winners’ homes.
