CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now)- The Health Medical Institute (HMI) located at 611 East Carlson street in Cheyenne is available for free screenings. It allows the staff to detect whether people are at low or high risk of obtaining the virus. HMI Physician/Director, Paul Washburn wants to remind people that most of the population don't meet the criteria and that just because you have a cough and flu-like symptoms, doesn't mean you have coronavirus.

"There's a sub-population in our population that's at high risk," Washburn said. "By isolating those and finding those hot spots, we can keep the risk at a minimum through preventive medicine."

Hours of operation for HMI are:

-Monday-Thursday: 8:30am-5:30pm
-Fridays: 8:30am-12:30pm

If you feel you are at high risk of COVID-19, call HMI at (307) 514-0510, or their urgent provider line at (970) 518-9394. For more information on health questions, visit:
