CHEYENNE, Wyo. -- Gold Star Families are those families who have lost a loved one while they served overseas. Wyoming Gold Star Families are remembering those service members with ornaments hanging on the tree at the Wyoming State Museum.

A Gold Star has been used to represent lost lives since WWI. Today was set aside to remember, but Major General Luke Reiner said, “Every day is a good day to honor those that we’ve lost and every day is a good day to thank those families who really bear the ultimate burden.”

The Wyoming State Museum is open Monday - Saturday from 9am to 4:30pm.
