CHEYENNE, Wyo. – The magic is back – and stronger than ever – in downtown Cheyenne.

Fridays in the Asher, an eight-week, Friday night concert and live visual and performance arts series will

return with its 2017 season on March 24. And it’s returning with its most prominent lineup ever.

After five seasons at the Hynds Building, the series has found a new home at the Asher Building, located at

500 W. 15th Street. And the series will ring in its new location in a big way, as acclaimed Denver indie rockers

Kissing Party and Bleak Plaza will headline the kickoff show of the 2017 series.

Admission for the concert is $5.00 at the door, and beer/wine coolers will be available for purchase for

attendees over the age of 21. All other concerts for the 2017 series will also cost $5.00 at the door, with the

possible exception of a TBA show on April 28, which will feature a national headliner; price of admission will

be announced with the announcement of performers on that night.

It is a strong dose of cutting-edge music and entertainment offered at

an affordable cost – because the concert series is entirely volunteer

organized and not-for-profit. And the caliber of entertainment has

only jumped up an echelon from previous iterations.

Matthew Santos, a Grammy nominated singer-songwriter from

Chicago, will play the series on April 7, anchoring a talent-laden

lineup of premier bands and songwriters from the Front Range area,

as well as another national performer to be announced.

Santos was featured on Lupe Fiasco’s “Superstar” – which was

nominated for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration at the 2009 Grammy

Awards and charted highly on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 list. He has

received critical acclaim for his soul and folk solo performance, and

he is renowned as one of the most singular vocalists in the music

industry today.

Rising Colorado musicians Edison and Slow Caves also feature on

the lineup.

In addition to live music, the series will also feature live visual and

performance artists from Cheyenne and the Front Range area each
