Happening in Cheyenne, Today was the 2nd annual Alpine Free Cancer Screening.

This was an opportunity for people in Cheyenne to take advantage of early detection cancer screenings.

"From a providers standpoint integrating into the community and medical system, and providing comprehensive care to patients from Cheyenne and the surrounding areas," Alpine Ear, Nose & Throat Physician Dr. Blake Hyde said.

The screening clinic was held in partnership with CRMC.

According to a patient at the clinic, having a free clinic available to the community helps raise awareness to the threats of cancer.

"Usually we catch one or two cancers at these clinics, by diagnosing them earlier, some people are afraid for financial reasons to come in and by getting them sooner we can get them treated and on their way through the healing process," Alpine Ear, Nose & Throat Physician Dr. Matthew Robertson said.
