CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) Fort Caspar Museum hopes to replicate Christmas Eve in 1865 Saturday during its annual Candlelight Christmas from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Fort Caspar Museum Director Rick Young said it’s a rare chance to see the fort buildings at night.
“It’s a unique opportunity and a great way to see the fort, doing it at night with all the candle lanterns going, the fires going, plus you actually get to get inside some of the buildings. Normally, when you view the fort in the summer, you only stand in the doorways,” Young said.
He said inside the museum, there will be fiddle music and Christmas cookies.
Admission Saturday is free. It is one of the museum’s quarterly free days.
