CHEYENNE, Wyo. (KGWN) Saturday, Aug. 17 is your final chance to grab theater seats from a historic building in downtown Cheyenne. A co-founder of The Alternative Arts Project, the nonprofit that now owns The Lincoln says anyone can take as many seats as they want but to remember to bring their own tools to take the seats apart and load them.
The Lincoln is transitioning from a theater to a musical hall and the main floor seats have been cleared out to make room for standing room while the original seats upstairs will stay as they are.
“We definitely had people coming in because they have so many memories here and they wanted to have a little piece of that so that they could take that to their home,” said Renee Jelinek, Co-Founder, The Alternative Arts Project.
Anyone can stop by The Lincoln on Aug. 17 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to pick up a chair and make a donation if they’re able to.
