CHEYENNE, Wyo. (KGWN) - An elevated level of lead was found in a child's blood Thursday at F.E. Warren Air Force Base.

The child lives in privatized housing on the base. Following the child's well-check, the 90th Medical Group took samples from the child's home and found lead in the bathtub and a doorknob.

F.E. Warren issued a precaution to other residents in the areas of concern advising residents not to take baths, but to take showers and assuring them the water is safe to drink.

Further testing is being done in the areas of concern. The Medical Group has opened their clinic for walk-in blood testing for the beneficiaries and their children.

It is unknown how long testing will take.
