CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) It was Military Appreciation Day at David Street Station Tuesday.

Elevate Wyoming hosted the event, which included a veterans resource fair and a pinning ceremony honoring a World War II veteran. Volunteers also stuffed boxes with care packages for Wyoming National Guard soldiers who are currently deployed.

“We packed 100 boxes and it was amazing. Everyone jumped right in, filled boxes, put together boxes. It was really cool. I mean, it was a very cool community service event,” Elevate Wyoming’s Kyle Gamroth said.

The first 50 military families who arrived also received service pins.
