East high school senior Jaden Ramsey was diagnosed with cancer at the beginning of April and has been doing chemotherapy treatments at the children's hospital in Colorado. One of his classmates who met him through ROTC wants to show Jaden that the community supports him by writing him letters.

Elizabeth Kidd said she has a tote in front of her house with a sign on it that says 'Letters For Jaden Ramsey' and anyone can put their letter in that. The address is 2110 E. 16th St for anyone who wants to drop a letter off or mail it to her.

She is also planning a parade for Jaden on May 30th at 6:00pm for people to drive by his house. "I can't imagine going through cancer, he has actually been through three major surgeries with me and even when I didn't want to smile, he made me smile and that's kinda what i'm trying to do, I'm trying to make sure he's uplifted" said classmate, Elizabeth Kidd.

She will be accepting the letters till May 30th.
