East high school football team says don't overlook them this season

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now)- The East Thunderbirds football team lost a good group of seniors from last season but they have some returning starters on the roster. Senior on the team Christian Anderton says "making sure were getting all our reps in making sure were doing every rep we can at 100 miles per hour and if we make a mistake make sure were doing it at 100 miles per hour." It is really important to the team this season that they have minimal mistakes after falling to Natrona County in the playoffs last season. Senior Ox Schroeder says "looking on this year were trying to get ourselves better we got a whole new line basically we lost a lot of seniors but were just trying to better ourselves everyday."

East football has a good group of younger players that have worked hard and Head Coach, Chad Goff mentioned that the team has several returning skill players. Coach Goff says "you know that were out there to compete i want people to never overlook us i want to be a football program that people gotta prepare for every week and cant overlook."

East will take the football field on August 30th for their first home game of the season versus Campbell County.
