Drive-in concert brings out-of-state visitors
When the summer months begin people flock to outdoor concerts. With COVID-19 many venues are saying bye-bye-bye to those events.
However, Blue Pig Productions is curing our summer time sadness, by utilizing a section of Terry Bison Ranch for a Drive-in.
Normally, the production company will host drive-in movies, but on Sunday, June 21st they will be hosting the first full drive in concert.
Hamilton Byrd the owner of Blue Pig Productions says "it will be a live production there will be a camera crew and they will be getting live shots and streaming then you know that will go right on the big screen and the cars in the very back will even be able to see on the 40-foot screen we just finished building a few weeks ago."
On Sunday the Colorado band Yonder Mountain Springs will be performing. The gates will open at 7.
Its $50 a car with VIP seating options that match the CDC guideline of distancing.
Byrd told us about 80-percent of ticket sales for Sunday's concert are from out of state. Adding he hopes this helps tourism for Cheyenne.
"They are staying on the Ranch Camping." Hamilton said, "Hopefully, they pop into Cheyenne to see some of the shops that are opening and get a little bit of a feel of what its like to get back to normal."
Garth Brooks' Summer tour will be at Terry Bison Ranch on Saturday, June 27th. Tickets went on sale Friday June, 19 and sold out within two hours for the 8 pm show. Last we checked there were limited tickets available for the 11:00 pm showing.
