The Cheyenne Extreme 18U fastpitch softball team has won the state tournament the past four years. The team is heading to Casper on Thursday to find out who they will play on Friday for the 2019 state tournament. Head Coach Adam Galicia says "We've been pretty successful at state we've lost one time in the last 10 years that I've been coaching so targets are on our back people are coming after us so we got to work a little harder." The ladies have been strong on defense and pitching all season, not allowing many runs. Leading up to the state tournament, they were focused on practicing their hitting.

Opening ceremonies for the state tournament will be Thursday, July 11th at Mike Lansing field in Casper. This will start at 7:30pm. Pool play will start Friday morning and the tournament will go until Sunday.
