Deadly crash shuts down I-80 during winter storm
Sunday's winter storm turned deadly after a multiple vehicle crash on I-80. So far, Wyoming Highway Patrol isn't putting out much information, but they say it happened in the early evening hours. There have been multiple injuries and one confirmed death.
Troopers say it happened near mile marker 184 west of Rawlins. The crash shut down the highway in both directions. Unconfirmed reports state that as many as 50 vehicles could be involved. Highway Patrol officials say if that is the case it could mean an extended closure of the highway.
We will be updating this story as details become available.
