Cowgirls of the West luncheon touches on Cheyenne's role in airline industry

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (WYOMING NEWS NOW) -- The Cowgirls of the West held a luncheon and lecture with Mike Kassel, assistant director/curator of Frontier Days Old West Museum. Kassel's talk began with the events of 1930, when the airline industry was brand new. He discussed Cheyenne's vital role in the development of airline worker training, which didn't include women until Ellen Church walked into Boeing Air Transport, a forerunner of United Airlines.
