Cowboys football wrap up first spring scrimmage

CASPER, Wyo.- The University of Wyoming football team concluded their first scrimmage of 2019, which took place at the Dick Cheney Alumni Field, in Casper.

Redshirt freshman running back, Brett Brenton, led the Pokes in rushing with 17 carries, 71 yards and a touchdown. The other Cowboy to score a touchdown, was fullback, Jeff Burroughs, who ran it in from four yards out.

On the defensive side of the ball, sophomore linebacker, Chad Muma led the Pokes in tackles with 10 on the day.

"I want to say thanks to all the fans and media who came out today," head coach Craig Bohl said. "It was great to see so many Cowboy fans come out to see our team."

The spring game will take place on Saturday, April 27, at 2:00 PM in War Memorial Stadium.
