City of Casper says it’s time to move RVs off the street

CASPER, Wyo. (RELEASE) - Officials at the City of Casper remind citizens it is illegal to store recreational vehicles, which includes boats, camper trailers, horse trailers, and such, on the street for more than five days in any 30-day period.

“It is now the time of year when drifting and blowing snow, poor visibility, icy road conditions, and other winter hazards combined with parked recreational vehicles make City streets even more hazardous,” said Craig Collins, code enforcement manager.

Collins went on to report that Casper code enforcement officers will be looking for violations and may be issuing notices of violation for this ordinance violation. “We are looking to work with citizens to keep our streets as safe as possible especially this time of year,” Collins stated.

RVs may be stored on private property. Collins reminded citizens to beware of any sight obstruction issues that can be created depending where and how RVs are parked.
