Christmas Exhibit for the Wyoming Historic Governors' Mansion
Every year, the Historic Governors’ Mansion closes its doors to the public at the end of September to begin the process of deep cleaning and setting up for its annual Christmas exhibit, Tinsel Through Time. This endeavor takes approximately six weeks to complete, but the end result is worth it; from Attic to Basement, the Mansion is extravagantly decorated. The theme changes every year, in order to keep things fresh, and this year’s theme is Tinsel Through Time: Stories of Christmas. Certain rooms of the house will be themed after timeless Christmas tales, such as How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
Staff is currently hard at work to ensure we meet our deadline of November 15th, which is when the Mansion will have its Opening Reception to showcase the exhibit. Starting on November 16th, the exhibit will be open to the public Wednesday through Saturday.
Throughout the exhibit run, the Mansion also hosts events such as Children’s Holiday Teas, which are VERY popular events that tend to sell out extremely quickly.
