Cheyenne woman dies after Sunday morning crash

LARAMIE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) A Cheyenne woman is dead after a crash on Wyoming 210 east of Laramie.

The accident happened at around 2:20 Sunday morning when Wyoming Highway Patrol troopers arrived on scene of a one-vehicle rollover.

Troopers say 20-year-old Seraphina Jimenez was driving a 2009 Toyota Corolla east on Wyoming 210, when she drifted off the side of the road. Troopers say Jimenez over-corrected and the vehicle rolled.

Jimenz was not wearing a seatbelt properly, and died on scene.

Troopers say driver inatention and cell phone use are being investigated as possible contributing factors.

This is the 54th fatality on Wyoming’s roadways in 2019, which is double for this same time last year.
