A Cheyenne fire was put out in seven minutes

Cheyenne Fire Rescue firefighters made quick work of a vehicle fire in a driveway that threatened a single-family house in the 300 block of West 10th Street Saturday evening.

Firefighters were called to a vehicle fire at 5:42 p.m., and were on scene in about four minutes. When they arrived, firefighters found a vehicle fire that was contained mostly to the engine compartment just six feet away from a residence. The 15 firefighters that responded had the fire out in just seven minutes which was contained to the vehicle.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by Cheyenne Fire Rescue.
