CHEYENNE, Wyo. (KGWN) With the goal of bringing together 40 people, the Cheyenne Slow Roll bicycle club has just two more weeks to meet their target. The group gets together every Wednesday between Memorial Day and close to Labor Day to explore Cheyenne on their bikes.

Wednesday, Sept. 4 is the final ride for the summer session and the theme? Star Wars. The winner will receive either a beer or root beer, depending on age. Bikers of all ages and ability levels are welcome to meet at the Big Boy train at Holliday Park at 6 p.m for the next two weeks.

“It’s a community thing, it’s a family, so it’s the perfect opportunity to bring families together and just enjoy the community we have,” said Sean Baird, one of the organizers. “Most of the rides happen through downtown so you get a little bit of that culture as well and you often get to interact with people who you often wouldn’t normally interact with.”

Cheyenne Slow Roll says they have embraced the Saint Mary’s food truck rally at the end of each month by swinging into the area for dinner and also stop by Danielmark’s on occasion.
