Cheyenne Regional Medical Center is shining a light on National Donate Life Month. A “donate life” flag is now flying in front of the hospital and lights will be shining green and blue to raise awareness.

There are 150 people in Wyoming and 115,000 people around the country who are currently waiting for a transplant. Doug Bare’s son received a heart transplant and Bare has given a kidney. He says people should think about a person in their life who may need an organ one day. He said, “If someone had the opportunity to give them an organ. To give them more time with their family then that’s a positive thing. If people just look at it that way it doesn’t seem so scary.”

CRMC Is inviting everybody to come and view the flag and lights this month.
