Cheyenne Police still searching for homicide suspect

The Cheyenne Police Department is continuing the search for the suspect in a homicide investigation. The suspect, Emigdio Lara is 57 and was living in the basement of 620 Central Ave where police say 21-year-old Victoria Juarez, of Cheyenne, was found dead.
Officers were dispatched to the location for a deceased person at approximately 11:45 a.m. on June 26 and located Juarez in the basement.
Lara was in a dating relationship with Juarez. Juarez had injuries consistent with blunt force trauma, strangulation, as well as several lacerations. It appears that the homicide occurred after 8:00 a.m. on June 26.
Officers are still searching for Lara and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
