After finding out they wouldn’t receive any funding from the SLIB, Cheyenne Fire Rescue has been in discussions with the city discussing possible ways they can receive funding to replace fire station #5. In order to receive donations, replacing fire station #5 would have to be to considered a 'special project' and set up in special accounts. Cheyenne Fire Rescue Chief, Greg Hoggatt says the station not set up for project donations at this moment in time.

“We’re really looking at what we need and where we go, trying to get the information from the city treasurer on what our next budget is really looking like,” Hoggatt said.
