CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now)- The downtown development authority hosted its inaugural 'Dog Day of Summer-Sidewalk Sale', where people were able to adopt dogs. The DDA worked with the Cheyenne Animal Shelter to get the animals for adoption. Each dog available today was around $150.

"It's super reasonable and it's a great deal. The most important thing is that it gives a dog a chance and a home," DDA executive director, Vicki D. Dugger said.

More events will happen regarding adoption tomorrow, August 24th, including a Dog Jog at Holliday Park from 7:00am-12:00pm, and an adoption hosted by Yola Pet Rescue, at Eclectic Elephant Antiques, from 11:00am-2:00pm.
