CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now)- The Cheyenne Botanic Gardens is hosting an event to raise money
in order to keep Ursus, a bear sculpture that's a part of the 'Gardens Gone Wild' exhibit. Other sculptures from the exhibit will be for sale such as an owl and a rabbit. The first people to donate $5,000 can pick which one they would like to take tonight. Sculptor and Cheyenne native, Dan Ostemiller is expected to be in attendance. The gardens' goal is to raise $115,000.

"This is one of our absolute favorite sculptures, he's such a welcome greeter to the botanic gardens," said director of the gardens, Tina Worthman. "So we're gonna try to raise some money to see if the bear can stay."

The event will be at the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens on Thursday night at 7:00pm. Tickets are $35 for members of the botanic gardens, and $45 for non-members.
