CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now)- The Cheyenne Botanic Gardens is hosting its first ever Dia de los Muertos. It's a Mexican holiday that honors loved ones that have passed away. People will be able to watch dance performances and eat Mexican food. Performances will happen every 30 minutes. They’re also able to see art, and take a picture next to a giant sugar skull.

"We do have a large Hispanic community here and so we wanted to kind of show them off and celebrate them in that way,” Event coordinator, Amelia Bales said.

The event started on Friday and will resume Saturday from 1:00pm-5:00pm.
