Police will be patrolling areas near bars looking for drunk drivers.

They suggest having a designated driver or using a taxi or ride share service.

If you're at a restaurant or bar, you can also ask your bartender about the safe ride program, which provides free sober rides home.

"if you are going to leave your home and celebrate, think ahead and make a plan about how you're going to get to the location you plan on celebrating and then how you're going to get home." Said Rebekah Ladd, the Casper Police Department PIO.

Last year CPD reported one drunk driving related incident on Cinco de Mayo.
