Casper family resource center holds family day
Community members lined up in their cars for family day. This is an annual event that looked a little different this year.
Mercer Family Resource Center had a drive-through style family day so community members could celebrate at home.
“We are having families come through and get lunch and a family fun bag,” said Lisa Brown, family and parenting coordinator.
Brown said they have this event because they want to remind the community that they are there to help.
“We are still providing all of our services, parenting and youth classes are still going on,” Brown said.
Tiana Peters, a community member, said she’s glad they have this event so people know what resources are available.
“There’s a lot of people that need services that don’t know where they could get it. Especially with kids that have problems and parents that need help with them,” Peters said.
She added she was surprised to see a line of cars down the street before the event even started.
