Two people are in custody after Casper Police said they are "actively investigating a domestic homicide"
Casper PD said there is no current threat to the public, as two suspects have been arrested in relation to the crime.
31-year-old Anthony Rodriguez and 31-year-old Allison Solis were both apprehended in El Paso County, Colorado on Tuesday.
The Natrona County District Attorney’s office is recommending the following charges:
Anthony Rodriguez: Second Degree Murder
Allison Solis: Accessory After the Fact to Second Degree Murder
According to Rebekah Ladd with CPD, on Monday, November 18th, 2019 shortly before 4:00 pm, officers responded to the 1200 block of South Conwell St. in Casper for a call in regards to a welfare check.
Once officers went inside the private residence, they found a deceased adult female inside.
Ladd said Casper Police Officers, detectives, and evidence technicians continued to work the scene Tuesday evening and the residence will be considered "an active crime scene until the on-site portion of the investigation is completed."
Several of the victim’s neighbors told Wyoming News Now they didn’t know her very well.
One said it’s still scary for someone to get murdered so close to home.
“You see all these police officers and, yeah, it was pretty scary and it still is,” neighbor Terry Kettle said. “I’m taking all these extra precautions.”
She said she didn’t know the victim but is still in shock.
“It’s quite a shock. I mean, I didn’t know her personally. But to have a neighbor and somebody that we, maybe, potentially somewhere down the road could have been close and now she’s gone,” Kettle said.
As of Tuesday night, CPD still had a squad car outside the scene. It was still covered with yellow police tape.
