Recently installed, the system is more energy efficient and could save around $100,000 in annual energy costs according to Events Center General Manager Brad Murphy.

The new lights also can be set to different brightness levels unlike the old lights, which could be turned on to one brightness setting or turned completely off.

“We have a range from one to 100 of lightness and darkness,” Murphy said.

Casper City Council members approved the purchase and installation of the new lights at their Dec. 17, 2019 meeting. The city paid $176,622 for the new lights.
