CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Though the Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo has been canceled, a part of it will still be going on. The 10th annual Sidewalk Chart Art Festival will be held virtually on Saturday July 11 at 8 a.m.

One of the pieces from the Sidewalk Chalk Art Festival in 2019.

Usually the festival sees hundreds of people drawing on the sidewalks of downtown Casper. This year CWFR is asking the community to walk out their front door and draw on their own sidewalk.

CWFR asks those who want to participate to register and will also be providing the chalk for all who pre-register at the Fairgrounds Arena Offices.

CWFR is asking the community to upload a photo of their artwork to the events page. A panel of judges will also select an artwork to be placed on the t-shirt for the festival in 2021. The first 300 people to register for the festival will receive a free t-shirt with last years winner on it.

CWFR's Marketing and Promotions Director, Angela Berry, said though we can't be together, this is a way to come together.

"Even though we really can't be together face to face, we can still come together as a community and do this together, and it'll be fun, and hopefully some people will get out and do some walking, maybe take their dogs for a walk and they'll get to see some of the artwork as well," said Berry.
