CHEYENNE, Wyo. -- The COMEA Turkey Trot was held at Holiday Park this morning.
Over 50 kids, the largest amount to participate in the fun run, braved the wind to run around the water near the park. The charge was led by a person dressed up as a turkey. Governor Matt Mead was at the starting line to count down the beginning of the race.
The adults and older kids took place in the 5K which began around 9am. The money from the race is going to help the COMEA Shelter in Cheyenne. For more information on how they are helping those without homes, go to their website at www.comeashelter.org.
