CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) All of these athletes love rodeo and it's so serious, taking time to play in the sun will allow them to relax and reset for night two of finals.

"Right now its the time to crack down and do the best and its good just to get out here and have some fun." Said G.W Clark, a student at Treasure Valley Community College

This softball tournament is played every year, and it's taken pretty seriously as the winning region takes home a nice trophy.

"This is serious we have a trophy to the winner and so and then if they win this year then they get a bye for next year until the second round so it's serious, to a point." Explained Ricky Boen, the tint ministry leader for CNFR.

This is just another activity for the competitors to mingle and make friends with other students from across the u.S.

"Yes ma'am yeah it was neat to meet new people and see where them come from and all." Said Jonathon Villagrana of Treasure Valley Community College*

"I'm from long creek Oregon you don't get out of there very often and uh other than going to school and its always good to see some new country and meet a lot of new friends."

Today was a perfect day to take in the Wyoming scenery and soak up the sun.

"Oh man we've been doing this a long time and this is one of the best days that I've seen in a long time so we've got a great day."

The college national finals rodeo will continue tonight with the second night of finals beginning at 7 pm.
