BURNS, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now)- Burns football started practice this week and the team has a goal this season to make it as far as they can. The team has 12 seniors this season and those guys have never made it to the playoffs. Brad Morrsion is entering his second year as head coach and says "our team mission statement is to play the best football we possibly can for as many days as the whsaa will let us so that means to go as far as we possibly can and continue to get better and better and better everyday." Coach Morrison is proud of the effort and focus he has been seeing out of the team during this first week of practice.
The seniors lead by example and are proud of the younger guys working hard. Senior Quarterback Kaden Lakin says "I get people hyped up i just like getting everybody involved just help people get them motivated and willing to help and get us to our goal." Senior Benjamyn Banville says "go as hard as I can every single time and I'm trying to get the other kids to learn the plays, teach them up and help them with their stances."
Burns first game of the season will be at home on Friday, September 6th versus Wright. The game will be at 6:00p.m.
