CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) Casper is the first stop on the Bret Michaels Hometown Heroes Tour. A portion of the proceeds from each show will go to juvenile diabetes research and local charities in each city.

A handful of Casper organizations will be honored including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Rocky Mountain Chapter, Casper Humane Society, Casper Police Department K9 Unit and the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association.
"The best part of this is we're going to enjoy a concert but hopefully our name gets out there more and we'll be able to reach out to other veterans in need. The real benefit we are going to receive is being able to pay it forward to other veterans," Patrick Sheehan, Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association 36-1 chapter commander, said.
Local active military, servicemen and women, teachers and first responders receive a 25 percent discount on their tickets and will be honored in each city on the tour. The community had the chance to submit Casper heroes, these heroes will be honored when the tour kicks off on Wednesday night.
The Casper Events Center looks forward to bringing acts like this to Casper.
"This is what we're about, to try to fill this building with as much quality, diversified entertainment, as we possibly can find," Brad Murphy, Casper Events Center general manager, said.
Bret Michaels will be joined by Night Ranger, Firehouse and Joe Nichols.
The Hometown Heroes Tour begins on Wednesday at 7pm at the Casper Events Center.
