Black Dog Animal Rescue announces "Dogust"

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (RELEASE) - Black Dog Animal Rescue (BDAR) is excited to announce it’s August adoption event and celebration: Dogust.

Dogust will take place Saturday, August 17 from 10am-3pm at BDAR, 2407 E. 9th Street, Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Dogust is more than an Adoption Drive. It is a birthday party for all shelter dogs! In addition to meeting adoptable dogs and cats, people are encouraged to bring their dogs to play in BDAR’s yard and splash in the doggie pool. There will be pupcakes and goodie bags filled with birthday treats to take home as well as a photobooth to capture all the smiling faces.

“Its impossible to know the exact date of birth for most shelter dogs. So, we’re joining shelters across the country to celebrate all of their birthdays and help bring attention to homeless pets” says Volunteer Coordinator, Maddi Haak.

Dogust was created by the North Shore Animal League and is recognized nationwide by shelters as the official birthday celebration for all shelter dogs.

There is a suggested donation of $20 to participate in the playgroup and birthday festivities.

All animals adopted from Black Dog Animal Rescue are spayed or neutered, current on all age appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped. BDAR encourages anyone interested in adopting a pet to visit their website, www.bdar.org, or call them at 307-514-4024.
